The multiverse was supposed to make comic books bigger—but has it actually made them worse? In this video, we break down how Marvel and DC Comics have become overly dependent on alternate universes, variant characters, and endless reboots at the expense of compelling storytelling. From the MCU’s Multiverse Saga and Marvel Comics’ constant reality-hopping to DC’s Infinite Frontier, Dark Crisis, and Absolute Universe, we discuss how the multiverse has lowered the stakes, confused readers, and made it harder for fans to connect with their favorite heroes. Has the multiverse become a crutch instead of a creative tool? Join the conversation and share your thoughts in the comments!
