Tom Taylor Does NOT Understand Superman. Change My Mind!
In this bonus video, Jared lays out his argument of how Tom Taylor does not understand Superman based upon his recent interview on Son of Kal-El. He discussed how Taylors writing of Superman as a pacifist is a fundamental misunderstanding of what makes a character Superman. Taylor would be better off giving Jon his own identity instead of calling him Superman.
Let’s clarify one thing. I love Tom Taylor’s elseworlds stories. Injustice and Dceased are god-tier DC books that actually demonstrate a good understanding of superheroes, especially Superman. So he has potential but, unfortunately, he misses the mark with Superman: Son of Kal-El
