This week, Jared posits why Jason Aaron and Marvel in general do not understand the Punisher character. He also goes into why Marvel has sabotaged the character for years (hint, it has to do with Punisher’s tools) and why Jason Aaron is a horrible writer in general and should be kept away from mainstream comic book characters.

The Punisher is one of the most compelling characters Marvel has and, unfortunately, Marvel squanders that potential for idealogical reasons and that, in turn, translates to much of Marvel’s current woes. Hopefully we can have a Marvel comics that respects its characters soon.
