Lanterns Episode 8 was a horrendous season finale — and Hal Jordan deserved so much better.

In this Lanterns Season Finale review, I break down why the ending failed and how it butchered Hal Jordan.

The Lanterns finale had one job: stick the landing for the Green Lantern story and set up the future of the DCU. Instead, Lanterns Episode 8 rushed character arcs, sidelined Hal Jordan’s leadership and heart, and delivered a payoff that felt unearned after a strong season build.

In this video, I cover what went wrong in Lanterns Episode 8, the key Hal Jordan moments that missed the mark, how John Stewart was used in the finale, and why this hurts momentum for DC Studios going forward. I’ll also talk about what a proper Green Lantern finale should have looked like for longtime DC Comics fans and newcomers alike.
